The Notes of the Neck – Frets 1 to 5

Look at the neck charts provided and memorize the notes for the first five frets of the bass. The simple exercise is to play each note going up and back down the neck, and say its name each time. This will help you memorize the note names quicker. Do one exercise with sharps and then another using flat notes.
