Chord Progression – E to D | Center Stage Bass Academy

In this lesson I will explore a very simple chord progression, I7 to bVII. I'll show you how to form strong bass lines using roots and 5ths plus some of the scale tones of the mixolydian mode.

Lesson Exercise

Using the E Mixolydian neck diagram, improvise over these two chords, making sure to hit the root notes on the downbeat to keep the bass line strong!
